HN Polyimide Film(e.g. kapton HN Film, APICAL Type AV) is synthesized by polymerizing an aromatic dianhydride and an aromatic diamine. It has the excellent balance of electrical, thermal, mechanical, physical, and chemical properties over a wide range of temperatures as low as –269°C (– 452°F) and as high as 400°C (752°F). HN Polyimide Film has excellent chemical resistance; there are no known organic solvents for the film. HN Polyimide Film does not melt or burn as it has the highest UL-94 flammability rating: V-0. The outstanding properties of HN Polyimide Film permit it to be used at both high and low temperature extremes where other organic polymeric materials would not be functional. Adhesives are available for bonding HN Polyimide Film to itself and to metals, various paper types, and other films.

VN Polyimide Film(e.g. kapton VN Film) is synthesized by polymerizing an aromatic dianhydride and an aromatic diamine. VN Film not only has all of the properties of Type HN, but also has plus superior dimensional stability.
This film can be used in flexible printed circuit board (FPC), voice coil and other special department which requires superior dimensional stability, good peel strength, and so on.

FN Polyimide FEP Film(e.g. kapton FN Film, APICAL Type AF Polyimide Film) is a kind of dry adhesive tape, constructed of polyimide film(e.g.Kapton HN Film) coated with Teflon FEP fluoropolymer adhesive on one side(FH) or both sides (FHF), imparts heat sealability, provides a moisture barrier, and enhances chemical resistance.
FN Polyimide FEP Film can be melt and formed soon as desired at defined temperature, is widely used as electrical insulation for motor, transformer, wire and cable, coils and so on.

JP Polyimide Films for Forming (e.g. kapton JP, JPB Film) have been designed to give optimum forming characteristics. Polyimide films for forming have higher elongations at elevated temperatures while maintaining the combination of excellent physical, electrical, and mechanical properties inherent in HN and HA. The films polymer properties enable drawing deeper parts at lower temperatures 280~300℃ and shorter cycle times. After forming, parts exhibit excellent shape retention and minimum shrinkage
Parts may be formed from Polyimide Films for Forming that were previously difficult or impossible to form with HN and HA:
• Diaphragms for automotive and heating and ventilating sensors and switches
• Speaker cones, domes, spiders, and surrounds
• Other applications including appliances, electronics, and aerospace

Kapton Tape is also known as high temperature tape or polyimide tape. It is made of polyimide film with heat resistant silicone adhesive to withstand temperature up to 260°C (500°F). This tape maintains an excellent physical and electrical properties over a wide range of temperature from -269°C (-452°F) to as high as 260°C (500°F). It has excellent chemical and radiation resistance. It removes cleanly without leaving a adhesive residue after processing. Application:
• as a gold finger mask of printed circuit boards during wave soldering
• as a high temperature mask high temperature powder coating
• as electrical insulation for traction motor, transformer ,cable ,and capacitor
• as bar code labels on the PCB
• In flexible circuitry
• In nuclear reactors and outer space
